myHappymind

The myHappymind programme is an innovative, NHS-backed initiative bringing a proactive approach to mental health education in primary, secondary schools, and nurseries across the UK. Its core aim is to equip children with tools to boost resilience, self-esteem, and overall happiness, supporting them in managing stress, setting goals, and nurturing healthy relationships.
Grounded in neuroscience and positive psychology, myHappymind employs pre-made lessons structured around five key modules: Celebrate, Appreciate, Meet Your Brain, Engage, and Relate. Each module builds specific life skills:
- Celebrate – Boosts self-esteem by helping children recognise their strengths.
- Appreciate – Encourages gratitude through daily habits.
- Meet Your Brain – Teaches how the brain works, including relaxation techniques.
- Engage – Introduces goal-setting to inspire dreams and perseverance.
- Relate – Develops foundational skills for friendship and communication.
The programme is delivered through digital lessons supported by animations, quizzes, and printed journals, making it enjoyable and accessible for both teachers and students. Each year group, from early years to Year 6, receives tailored content to ensure age-appropriate learning that builds into a positive school-wide culture. It’s designed to be effortless for educators, with minimal prep required, allowing them to focus on nurturing a resilient mindset among students.
Beyond the classroom, myHappymind extends its impact to families and staff through a dedicated parent app and a CPD-certified staff wellbeing programme. This comprehensive, systemic approach means that the entire community around the child—parents, teachers, and peers—works together to create a supportive environment for mental health growth. The programme is tailored to accommodate neuro-diverse learners and even offers a Special Schools programme to ensure equitable access for all.
Altogether, myHappymind stands out as a preventative and holistic mental health initiative, promoting lifelong skills that children can carry forward to thrive both inside and outside school
