Who we are

At Weston Lullingfields Primary School, we are a close-knit community committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our pupils. Our dedicated staff work together to create a vibrant learning atmosphere, where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

School Structure

Weston Lullingfields is a proud Church of England School, providing a nurturing educational environment for children aged 3 to 11 years. Our nursery caters to pupils who are 3 and 4 years old, while our primary provision serves students from Reception through Year 6. As a very small rural primary school, we currently have 38 pupils on roll, and our community is enriched by the diverse backgrounds and experiences that these pupils bring.

The Westcliffe Federation

The school is part of the Westcliffe Federation, which comprises four Church of England schools: St Andrews in Nesscliffe, West Felton CE School, Kinnerley CE School, and Weston Lullingfields itself. The Westcliffe Federation, comprising four small rural church schools, offers numerous benefits that significantly enhance the educational experience of its pupils. Central to its operation is a shared governing body that provides both support and challenge, ensuring that the unique needs of each individual school are understood and met.

Being part of the federation provides opportunities for pupils from all 4 schools to come together, cultivating a sense of belonging within a larger community. This interaction not only enriches their social experiences but also establishes vital friendships with peers from the other primary schools in the federation. Such connections are invaluable as pupil prepare for their transition to secondary school, where these established friendships will offer a great sense of continuity and support.

The federation promotes the sharing of key staff, such as the business manager and SENCOs, which optimises resources and expertise across the schools. Collaborative professional development (CPD) opportunities allow staff to enhance their skills collectively, enriching the teaching and learning environment. Head teachers, too, benefit from this supportive network, as they can share innovative ideas and strategies, fostering a collaborative spirit that strengthens leadership throughout the federation.

In summary, the Westcliffe Federation not only supports academic excellence but also nurtures a cohesive, supportive community where pupils and staff alike can flourish.
